Back To School Picnic – Welcome Back! This event is held outside, on our newly renovated pavilion, prior to the start of the school year. The playground and school building will be open for students and parents to explore. Students may bring their school supplies to be placed in their locker and classroom for the upcoming year. Food and drinks will be supplied by the PTG, coupled with attending families. The PTG will be responsible for planning and executing the entire event, from set-up to clean-up.
Carnival – Fall Frenzy Carnival! This event is held in our JFK School Building. Each classroom will host a fun, family friendly game that offers prizes. Families may stroll from room to room winning prizes galore. Our Fall Frenzy Carnival offers hot dogs and snacks outside, along with a Chinese auction, face painting, nail art and the ever-popular Cake Walk! The PTG will be responsible for all aspects of the carnival, from set-up to clean-up.
BINGO – This family friendly event will be themed according to the time of year. It is a perfect opportunity to bring families together for a little fun. Prizes will be student friendly and multiple rounds will be played. Accompanying BINGO, there will be raffle baskets on display and hot dogs, snacks and drinks will be on sale.
Book Swap – Tired of reading your same books over and over again? Would you love to read a book your peer has enjoyed? The PTG will be offering a book swap for all students. We will be asking for gently used, school appropriate books, to be donated. Participating students will be given a chance to browse all donated books, in the hopes of finding a new read or two. All left-over books will be distributed to our school library, classrooms or a local charity.
Catholic Schools Week – This fun filled week combines the Spirit of JFK with service and prayer. The PTG will assist in planning and coordinating activities that bring our students together. Events include the Ice Cream Social and Prayer Partners, Service Projects, Spirit Day with a Pep Rally, Career Day, STEAM project and many more of events.
Teacher Appreciation Week – Thank You Teachers and Staff! This is a wonderful time to honor our teachers and staff of JFK for their dedication and hard work. The PTG will plan and execute a special week of small daily gifts and tasty treats in May. We will develop a theme, coordinate daily activities and host a catered luncheon.
St. Nicholas Day - Nicholas Day is celebrated on December 6th every year. This date was chosen to commemorate the day of St. Nicholas's death and to celebrate his life and generous spirit. The PTG will be responsible for the creative treats left in our student’s shoe. These gifts have included chocolates, candy canes, oranges, and a small religious item.
Parent Partner Program - New in 2022, this program is meant to pair a new JFK family with a seasoned family, a JFK Guru! Providing a point-of-contact for all questions school related; Gala, sport events, musical, committees, fundraising, volunteering, etc. As a JFK Guru, you will be asked to included your new family in any committees you may be a part of. This will provide a new family the opportunity to understand JFK events, in the hopes of becoming more involved in years to come.
Fieldtrips – The PTG will be responsible contacting teachers and compiling a list of desired fieldtrip locations. This information will be past along to the school for further planning. A portion of the fieldtrip will be sponsored by the PTG.
Easter Pie Sale – The PTG will partner with a local bakery, hosting a pie/dessert sale for the Easter season. All of our proceeds will go towards our partnership with the school and their safety initiatives.
